I had put these on my wish list as a future splurge and was surprised and pleased when my hubbie bought them for me for my birthday final month! (Love that other folks can see my wish list!) I have owned Farberware before, but, only a single or two pans...just after twenty years or so, a manage had loosened, a pan lid was missing, and so on. but they were nevertheless going powerful! I don't feel you can get a superior high quality of cookware at this price tag! (I had looked at other brands of aluminum clad stainless steel cookware and discovered they were HUNDREDS of dollars!) I have a ceramic cooktop and have located that lots of of the pots and pans I've tried have warped immediately and were immediately useless on the ceramic top rated (where factors have to be perfectly flat to operate). Not so with these pots and pans! They stay flat and heat up fast. This set has a good range of sizes (my only complaint is that it does not contain a 6 quart stock pot). The lids fit well and the pots and pans have excellent rings on the handles that enable hanging on any pot rack! The skillets are modest, but, definitely very good (the non-stick surface is thick and the pans heat up well and clean up easily). The set also came with three stainless bowls with plastic covers (best for chilling cookie dough), also with rings for hanging. I am pleasantly surprised as properly by the baking pan. I ordinarily use glass, but, my lemon bars baked up quite nicely in this pan. The cookie sheet, though really modest, is also impressive. It doesn't warp beneath high heat and I have made use of it for creating garlic toast and as a pan under pies and breads with no problem. In fact, I strategy to put Farberware cookie sheets on my wish list next! If you a searching to replace pots and pans, or, want to give an individual you really like a significantly appreciated gift that will last for years and years, I recommend this marvelous set!
I bought this set for my girlfriend and she loves it. She knocked on the bottom of the 8 qt stockpot to see how thick it is and she said it sounds just like her mother's pot which is at least 30 years old. She says Farberware is the best.
